Route 66 Leggings
As an artist, "Nickle" was fascinated with the quirkiness of Route 66, and longed to travel down its highways, exploring the whimsical attractions along the way. She never got that chance.
In 2020, the 20th anniversary of Nickle's passing, 66-year old Joy Jarvis, Nickle's sister, will bicycle ALL of Route 66 (roughly 2400 miles) to honor Nickle's memory and to raise awareness and funds to benefit ALS research.
YOU can help in the following ways: 1) follow Joy's upcoming ride on FB at Give a Nickle or Instagram @joymonsonjarvis for updates, 2) volunteer to ride a mile or two with Joy along the Route 66 highway (daily posts on FB and Instagram will tell of meeting points along the way), 3) provide publicity or sponsorship, 4) make a donation, large or small, to this very important cause, 5) purchase 57 Peaks Route 66 Leggings or Shorts. 30% of sales will be donated to the ALS Association.
To donate directly, go to Joy's Give a Nickle fund on the ALS Association website. It’s as simple as that to give to make a difference.
P.S. I shot the Route 66 photo used in this design when our 15-year old son, David, and I ran across the USA promoting a GMO Free USA and world. Joy requested that the Route 66 sign be placed on the left hip to increase visibility for the drivers of passing vehicles. There is no yellow road sign on our Route 66 2 Leggings.
